As one of the Directors of Stonebridge Financial Group, Jonathan’s goal is to help lead an organization that strives to provide the highest degree of client service, integrity, and professionalism.  With disciplined investment strategies that emphasize risk-adjusted returns, cost, and tax efficiency, his objective is to help the individuals, families, corporations, and nonprofit organizations that he works with to achieve their financial goals.  As a Financial Advisor, Jonathan participates in the committee that formulates Stonebridge’s investment strategies and he works closely with his clients to articulate their goals and implement a plan to fulfill these objectives.

Background and credentials

Jonathan and his business partner, Brian McCarver, formed McCarver Freeman Wealth Management, now known as Stonebridge Financial Group, in August of 2009. Prior to this, they worked together in The Rohrbaugh Group beginning in 2002.

Jonathan began his career in the financial services industry in 1996 with Fidelity Investments in Boston. He started in operations and moved to the trading desk in 1998. He then moved to New York after meeting his wife Andrea and worked for Gary Goldberg & Company as a trader until 2000. In 2001, Jonathan joined Prudential Investments as a Technical Analyst, assisting Financial Advisors across the country with analyzing investment managers for their high-net-worth clients and institutional accounts. Jonathan soon realized that he wanted to begin a career as a Financial Advisor and in January of 2002, he joined The Rohrbaugh Group at Prudential Securities, which later became Wachovia Securities and then Wells Fargo Advisors.

Jonathan is a 1996 graduate of Bucknell University, and over the course of his career, he has attained the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Certified Investment Management Analyst™(CIMA®) designations.

Away from the office

Jonathan spends his free time with his wife Andrea and daughters Sophie and Rachel. Jonathan is also involved in many charitable activities, including volunteering for Downtown Daily Bread, M28 Ministries, and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and hosting a child through the Fresh Air Fund.
